SENS 2027 – Official Announcement

The School of English for Engaged Social Service (SENS) is delighted to announce
that the 2027 season will be held from January 4th–April 10th, 2027, at our home
campus, Wongsanit Ashram, Nakhon Nayok, Thailand.

This is an opportunity for a deep and transformational cross-cultural experience,
focused not only on English-language skill development but also on exploring each
individuals leadership potential — enabling all participants to learn, reflect, lead,
transform, and grow as they fully engage with the program. We believe that every
one of us holds a unique intelligence we have yet to fully realize. Together, we can
start fresh and learn to rely on each other in this historically challenging time in the
world.

Anyone interested in attending our program can now apply using the Google Form

poster.

The deadline is November 9th, 2026, but early applications can increase
your chances of selection.

Dear Friends,

To continue our support for Myanmar migrant communities in Mae Sot, Thailand, this Fall, the INEB Institute plans to set up a classroom from September to November to provide language classes and emotional support, to strengthen connections, and help build a support system within the Myanmar teacher community there. It will be a safe space for our teacher alumni and new friends to visit, study with us, share our stories and dreams, heal from past experiences, build mutual understanding, and think about how we can collaborate on next steps. We are now still raising funds to execute our plans for this 2026 training, which will require roughly $15,000 USD for 3 months of work.

A special GlobalGiving campaign on July 15th, called July Bonus Day, will provide bonus funds for donations of $100 or more. The campaign begins at 10:00 am (New York Time) on July 15 th and extends for only 24 hours! We will appreciate any size of donation, or even simply sharing with others about our project!

From September 8–12, the INEB Institute will launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise scholarship funds for the 10th season of the School of English for Engaged Social Service (SENS). Over the years, SENS has transformed the lives of our students and the communities they serve. To continue this impact, we kindly ask for your support. Your contribution—big or small—will help ensure that future students can join this journey of transformative learning.
Every donation—from $10 to $1,000—will be matched through a $150,000 incentive fund provided by GlobalGiving, our crowdfunding partner. The exact amount of matching funds we receive will depend on the total donations raised by the end of the campaign.

Our generous and well-considered actions can inspire hope and confidence in difficult times. Your generous and well-considered donations would make it possible for us to take our international team of well-trained young adults to a Thai border town in September. Our aim will be to provide emotional, intellectual, and material support to Myanmar teachers and friends we have already worked with, and who are doing important work in that region under difficult conditions. 

 

We lost a large portion of the funds slated for this program under the current US administration’s slashing of humanitarian aid programs. Yet the program has value! Many graduates of our SENS and Myanmar Teacher programs are doing extraordinary work teaching the children of displaced and migrant Myanmar families, while also fashioning the foundation for a new democratic and student-centered educational system for Myanmar. Having lost funds, we need your help more than ever to continue our support for the network of Myanmar teacher communities living in exile.  

 

Any donation of $100 or more (up to $1,000) is eligible to receive bonus funds. The amount of bonus funds will depend on how much we take in over a 24-hour period compared to other fundraising organizations.  

 

The campaign will be active from July 16th at 10:00 am EDT (New York Time) to 10:00 am EDT on July 17th. For Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, that works out to starting at 9:00 pm on July 16th, and going until the same time the next day. Japan would start at 11:00 pm on the 16th, India and Sri Lanka at 7:30 pm.“

ประกาศทุนการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับบุคคลทั่วไปและพระสงฆ์ หลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการรับใช้สังคม (School of English for Engaged Social Service – SENS)

สถาบันการเรียนรู้เพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงภายในของเครือข่ายพุทธศาสนิกสัมพันธ์เพื่อสังคมนานาชาติ (INEB Institute) ดำเนินงานภายใต้มูลนิธิเสฐียรโกเศศ-นาคะประทีป กำลังเปิดรับสมัครผู้ที่สนใจเข้าเรียนหลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการรับใช้สังคม (School of English for Engaged Social Service – SENS) โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อสร้างทรัพยากรบุคคลที่มีทักษะด้านภาษาอังกฤษไปพร้อมกับความตระหนักรู้ทางด้านสังคม เป็นคอร์สเรียนเต็มเวลา 3 เดือน เริ่มตั้งแต่วันที่ 12 มกราคม ถึง 8 เมษายน 2563 ณ อาศรมวงศ์สนิท จังหวัดนครนายก

หลักสูตรนี้เหมาะสำหรับผู้ที่:

  • มีความรู้ภาษาอังกฤษระดับปานกลางขึ้นไปและต้องการเพิ่มทักษะความชำนาญด้านภาษาอังกฤษอย่างก้าวกระโดดในระยะเวลาอันสั้น
  • ต้องการฝึกใช้สมอง หัวใจ และทักษะต่างๆ ที่มีเพื่อพัฒนาตนเองและสังคม
  • รักการเรียนรู้ โดยเฉพาะร่วมกับผู้อื่นที่มีความหลากหลายทางความเชื่อ วัฒนธรรม และความคิด
  • มีความยืดหยุ่น ปรับตัวง่าย มีไฟและพลังในการใช้ชีวิต

ระยะเวลาเรียน: 12 มกราคม – 8 เมษายน 2563 (12 สัปดาห์)

สถานที่เรียน: อาศรมวงศ์สนิท คลอง 15 นครนายก

ค่าเล่าเรียน: USD6,000 (รวมค่าเล่าเรียน อุปกรณ์การเรียน ที่พัก อาหารและเบรคทุกมื้อ ค่าเดินทางทัศนศึกษาในประเทศ ประกันอุบัติเหตุ ตลอดระยะเวลา 3 เดือน)
